Most successful project to date! Beautyful and functional down to every detail; hard, sharp yet flexable (you could swan dive off it). Cost me well under 100$ counting everything from the blade steel to sandpaper and drill bits. 2 years of procastination and It was totally worth it. Blade steel is 5160 high carbon steel, (aka a truck leaf spring) handle is redwood burl hand-tooled, sanded to 400 grit paper and finished with linseed oil. Pins are "black eyed Suzie" style mosaic with brass and nickle silver (purchased at Janz Knife supply). www.jantzsupply.com
